What data is processed

This website has no accounts, newsletters or analytics tools. I only process the data you choose to send me when you contact me, including through the request form:

• your name and email address;
• your region or country, number of guests and the period of the event;
• the content of your message, including any dietary requirements;
• your phone number, if you contact me by phone or WhatsApp.

The form does not send data to the website: it prepares a message in your email program, which is only sent when you send it. The provider hosting the website may log technical browsing data (such as the IP address) to ensure the security and operation of the service.

Purposes and legal basis

• replying to your requests and preparing proposals and quotes: pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
• complying with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting, if an engagement follows (Art. 6(1)(c));
• ensuring the technical security of the website: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

I do not use your data for marketing or profiling.

Dietary requirements

If you tell me about allergies or intolerances, this information may constitute health data. I only use it to prepare a menu suited to you and your guests, based on your consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you give by sending it voluntarily and can withdraw at any time. If you mention the requirements of other guests, please only do so if you are authorised to share them.

Retention

I keep requests for the time needed to reply and, if no engagement follows, for no more than 12 months. If an engagement follows, I keep the data for the duration of the relationship and for the periods required by law (such as tax records).

Recipients

Data is not disclosed or sold. It may be processed by providers who supply me with technical services, acting as processors: the email service (Aruba S.p.A.) and the website hosting provider. Any transfer of data outside the EU by these providers takes place with the safeguards required by the GDPR.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking tools. Fonts are hosted on the website itself, with no connections to external services, so no banner is needed. If such tools are added in the future, I will update this page and ask for your consent where required.

The website contains a link to my Instagram profile. It is only a link: no Instagram content is loaded on this website. If you open it you leave the site and Instagram's (Meta Platforms) privacy policy applies.

Your rights

At any time you can ask for access to your data, rectification or erasure, restriction of or objection to processing, and portability, and you can withdraw consent where given. Write to info@martinthecook.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).
